Dear New Life in Christ Church Family,
“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!’” (Luke 2:13–14)
If I were to ask you to describe Christmas in one word, would you choose the word "glorious"? For many, December feels hectic, filled with holiday preparations, end-of-year demands, and family gatherings. It can also feel full as we enjoy rich meals, but lonely as we remember loved ones who are no longer with us. It’s a month of contrasts—joy as we spend time with those we cherish, but also sadness for those absent.
Yet, when the angels announced the first Christmas night, they sang, “Glory to God in the highest!”
What will it take for you to experience the glory of Christmas this year?
The Bible reveals the true significance of Christmas: Jesus Christ, Immanuel— “God with us.” The Son of God came to be our Savior, the true Light who redeems us from sin, reverses its curse, and secures eternal life.
The world distorts Christmas with superficial distractions, but believers are called to reclaim its wonder by worshiping the Savior King whose birth changed history. Christmas calls us to adore Christ and celebrate the radiant light of God’s immeasurable love.
Advent reminds us to see the Incarnation of Jesus Christ rightly and worship God for His glory and splendor. Join us for any of the events below—and consider inviting someone else who could be blessed by rediscovering the glory of Christmas this year.
