Matthew 6:25-34

We all face problems in this life that make us worry and anxious. We all face challenges that seem to be beyond our abilities. We all have experienced problems in the past that make us afraid of repeat situations. In our passage today, Jesus shows us a spiritual response to anxiety and worry (Matthew 6:25). Instead of looking at anxiety as purely physical, or instead of doubting God's ability to provide, or instead of disobeying God when we are anxious, we must learn to trust God by obeying His commands and loving our neighbor. Despite our natural tendency to worry, Jesus calls us to live free from anxiety, and to instead focus on His kingdom. In fact, He has provided the key to escaping anxiety. What do we need to do if we are going to get out of anxiety?
