In Genesis 2, we see what life in paradise looked like, and we learn about receiving God's gifts and God’s call to develop them by faith. All God’s gifts come by grace, even in the garden. Adam’s responsibility in the garden, and our responsibility today is to cultivate God’s gifts to draw out God's blessing. Will we do it? Coming before sin, the garden was a perfect environment, but now we live in a world that has been deeply affected by sin. What do we learn from life in the garden that transfers to our life now, what do we learn about God’s initial intentions, and what do we learn God requires of us?
