The eternal Son of God came down from heaven to enable us by His sacrifice to enter into heaven (John 3:13). He came so that we might always be with Him (John 14:1-4). All of creation is moving toward that great day when Jesus returns in glory (Matthew 24:30-31). Yet as contemporary Christians we push into the background the thought of that great day instead of eagerly longing for it. The Father is in heaven (Matthew 5:16; 6:9). Jesus Christ is at His right hand in heaven (Ephesians 1:20).
