"The Epistle to Titus: Strong Doctrine, Strong Families"

Ideas have consequences. Bad doctrine and bad ideas upset families (Titus 1:11) and leave us with a bad conscience before God (Titus1:15). The church of Jesus Christ is supposed to be a place with doctrine that leads to eternal life, greater purity, conformity with the truth, a clear conscience and stronger families. Churches don’t automatically steer toward good doctrine, so Titus needed to silence false doctrine (verse 11). It’s the same with us. We need to be diligent if we will be grounded in truth and the life that comes from God. How do we stay in the truth?
