“God, how am I to know you will fulfill your promises?” If we are going to base our entire life on the promises of God, we want to know that He will fulfill those promises. This was also Abram’s question. God had made promises of land, children and descendants (Genesis 15:1-6) but none of those had materialized for Abram by this point. Abram had left so much to follow God’s call; he had followed God by faith; he had done what was required of him. How did he know that God would fulfill His promises? (Genesis 15:7-8) Our willingness to obey God’s commands is directly related with our view of God’s trustworthiness (Hebrews 11:6). Are God’s promises trustworthy?
