“The Ordinary Christian Life”

Today we will look at the life of Isaac, one of the most significant people in the Bible, but a man who oddly has only this one chapter to tell us about his life. There is an ordinariness to his life, and an ordinariness that describes each of our lives – even the greatest celebrity. The gospel reminds us that God’s love comes through faith in Christ, not what we do; and even if we change the world for the good, it wouldn’t make Him love us any more than He does in Christ. God does much of His work through ordinary believers in ordinary situations.
