“The Danger of Thinking, ‘God Wants Me to Be Happy’”

Many people have said “God wants me to be happy”, only to follow that statement with a decision that is outside of God’s will and outside of His blessing. It hurts them and the people around them. Today we will look at some decisions of Abram and Sarai made from a lack of faith. Not only was it mistrust in God’s commands, but it also hurt them, their descendants, and one of their closest earthly relationships. What is the danger of thinking we can do God’s job better than He does? What do we need for a joy that endures through our circumstances?
