“Dealing with Doubt by Making Space for God”

It’s easy to become disappointed when things don’t go the way we want. Many people deal with disappointment by becoming cynical or numbing themselves from the pain. Some give up hope that things can be different, dismissing the powerful hand of God in their lives. As we look at Genesis 18 today, we can see how cynicism grows from bitter disappointment, and we can see important steps in addressing that disappointment. Most of all, we see an invitation out of cynicism with two critical ways that we make space for God and His promises.
