“Elders and God’s Care for His People”

Jesus had a plan to care for His people once He ascended to heaven. The “Good Shepherd”, who cares for His people (John 10:11), provided for His people through “elders”. None of us is alone in our challenges of suffering, temptation, sin, conflict, and guilt. This passage is written to leaders, reminding them that Jesus cares how they treat His people. Following the model of Jesus, “Christian leadership” is “shepherd leadership”.
