"Jesus in His Own Words: I Am the Vine”

Jesus came to make us fruitful, to change us into better people who please God and love our neighbors. The history of man-made religion has not brought about a more loving group of people, which is why Jesus came not just to start a new religion, but to empower His people in a whole new way of living. Spiritual change doesn’t come so much from our efforts to change, but from “abiding” in Jesus Christ. It doesn’t come from rituals or resolutions to do better, but in being vitally and organically connected to Jesus. When we abide in Christ, we will bear fruit by His working in us. Today we want to look at what Jesus teaches about abiding in Him.
