Invitation to Missions Month (from Pastor Sean and Hannah Reed)

“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other.”
(Isaiah 45:22, ESV)

Dear New Life in Christ Church Family,

As we enter March, we look ahead to our annual Missions Conference. This year’s theme comes from Isaiah 45:22: “Turn to me and be saved… for I am God, and there is no other.”

In a world filled with competing loyalties and rival hopes, the Lord speaks with clarity and authority. There is one true God. One sovereign King. One Savior. Missions begins here, with worship. Because there is no other God, the nations must hear. Because there is no other Savior, the nations must turn.

This is not simply a theme for the month. It is the calling of Christ’s church. The living God is gathering worshipers from every tribe and tongue, and He has entrusted us with the message of salvation. We are not bystanders. We have been given a part in His work. Through our prayers, our giving, our sending, and our witness, the Lord advances His kingdom. It is a privilege that He would use our church to make His glory known among the nations.

Our missionaries serve in church planting, theological education, mercy ministry, and outreach both locally and globally. In different places and cultures, they proclaim the same message: Jesus Christ is Lord. When the gospel takes root, lives change, churches are strengthened, and communities are shaped by truth and grace.

I encourage you to take part fully this month. Review the schedule. Attend the gatherings. Bring your children so they can see the breadth of God’s purposes in the world. As you receive information about Faith-Promise giving, prayerfully consider how the Lord would have you participate beyond your regular giving, trusting Him to provide as we step forward together.

May the Lord enlarge our vision, deepen our faith, and use New Life in Christ Church to help the ends of the earth turn to Him and be saved.

Faithfully Yours,
Pastor Sean Whitenack

Children and Missions Month (from Hannah Reed)

During Missions Month, we are inviting our church family, especially our children and youth, to grow in their understanding of who God is and how He is at work both around the world and right here in our community.

Rooted in Isaiah 45:22, our theme reminds us that there is one true God, and His gracious invitation extends to the ends of the earth.

Throughout the month, children and youth will engage in missions through worship, prayer, testimony, and service. They will reflect on the names and character of God, hear from youth who have witnessed His work through mission trips, pray intentionally for the missionaries our church supports, and participate in a local service project serving families in our community who are experiencing food insecurity.

Many have asked about the annual poster contest. This year, instead of hosting the contest, we are focusing on intentional participation in God’s mission — helping children and youth learn to pray, serve, and respond to His call with faithful hearts.

Students will continue to enjoy meaningful and creative opportunities during our combined Sunday School class each week, including hands-on crafts that reinforce what they are learning. All students, age 4 through 6th grade, will all meet together in room 141 throughout the month of March.

We look forward to walking through Missions Month together as families, worshiping the one true God and growing in love to the people He has made.
