New Life in Christ Church seeks to disciple Kingdom leaders by coming alongside families to teach children about their Creator, to instill in them an acknowledgement of their need for redemption through Jesus Christ, to foster in them a love for Jesus Christ, and to establish opportunities for them through mentorship and friendship. We see children’s ministry as an outgrowth of our commitment to our covenant baptism vows to “undertake the responsibility of assisting the parents in the Christian nurture” of their children. The Children’s Ministry at New Life in Christ Church consists of Nursery, Sunday School, Junior Worship, Middle and High School Youth Groups, Vocal Choirs, Handbell Choirs, Drama Classes, Pioneer Girls, Christian Service Brigade, Baseball, Vacation Bible School, Short Term Missions, and Christ Covenant School. Knowing that ministry to children begins with their parents, the Children’s Ministry at New Life in Christ Church seeks to lovingly lead, support, and encourage parents in the Biblical command to “bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). Starting from the youngest ages, we are committed to “Building the Kingdom Through Training Leaders.” We believe that God is using our Children’s Ministry to help your children know Jesus and faithfully follow Him.
Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Starting at the youngest ages, we are committed to “Building the Kingdom Through Training Leaders”. We believe that God will use these groups to help your children know Jesus and faithfully follow Him.
Mentorship matters to us! Each week, loving mentors teach the Bible, pray, and encourage each child in their gifts, service, and calling.
Friendship matters to us! Each of these ministries also provides opportunities for children to build strong Christ-centered friendships for a lifetime of spiritual and moral guidance.

The Church plays an important role in providing for the spiritual and physical needs of babies and toddlers. Our nursery provides a first impression of the Church, God’s people, and God Himself and as such, it is our goal to ensure that time spent in the nursery is a safe, meaningful, and positive experience for all children. As we watch these children during this time, we adhere to the scriptures with hope that they will grow as children of God and that we might witness God’s favor in their lives.
Sunday School is available for all ages on Sunday mornings from 9- 9:45am.
Children's Sunday School classes are organized by age/grade. We offer the following classes each Sunday:

During the latter portion of the morning worship service, we invite children ages three and four to Junior Worship. During this time, in addition to being taught a Bible lesson, children will learn the Doxology, the Children’s Catechism questions 1-20, the Apostle’s Creed, and the Lord’s Prayer. While all children are welcome to stay and participate in the worship service, Junior Worship provides help to families and an opportunity for young children to learn more about participating in the worship service.
Pioneer Girls is a discipleship ministry for girls from the ages of four to eighteen that seeks to teach girls to follow God in every aspect of their lives and to live covenantally in the Church. Through this ministry, girls study the Bible, build lasting friendships, and learn skills that equip them to better love God and love their community. In addition to meeting weekly, girls participate in various events, such as tea parties, bonfires, father-daughter breakfasts, and missions events.
Christian Service Brigade ("Boys Brigade") is a program that guides groups of fathers and sons through adventure-packed, action-filled experiences focused on growing young men closer to God and equipping them to be godly leaders. Through this time of fellowship, fathers are strengthened in their calling to train and lead their sons, and sons are able to build relationships with their fathers and others around them as they engage in spiritual discussion as well as fun experiences.

"Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.“ 1 Corinthians 11:1
Youth groups for middle and high school students provide opportunities to train our youth in the gospel of Jesus Christ as they take steps towards spiritual maturity (Col 1:9-12), and encourage each individual as an essential part of the body of Christ (Eph 4:13-16). We encourage spiritual community through music, games, teaching, small groups, service opportunities, events, and retreats.
Because we recognize that we are creative beings designed in the image of a creative God, we value teaching children how to worship our God through the arts. In vocal choirs, children learn techniques of music reading and singing. In handbell choirs, children learn to apply musical skills in an ensemble setting, learning to lead others in worship of God with instruments. In drama classes, children are able to explore the world of acting and stagecraft within the context of gospel outreach. Through participation in these classes, children are given tools and outlets to grow their appreciation and understanding of the truth, goodness, and beauty of the creative arts.
Vacation Bible School is an annual week-long adventure during the month of July intended to minister to children in the church, to create outreach to surrounding communities, and to generate evangelism opportunities. Through creative themes, games, music, and crafts, Vacation Bible School seeks to provide a fun context for children to learn about the truth of God’s Word.
Because we recognize the importance of missions, we provide many opportunities for various kinds of missions trips. We send a team to an area within our region to show the love of Christ through home maintenance and construction and to a major U.S. city to support an evangelism ministry to their Jewish community. We also occasionally send teams overseas to support full-time missionaries in their ministries. An important aspect of our missions is our focus on instilling an understanding of missions in our youth; many of these trips are good opportunities for parents to serve with their mature youth in challenging environments for the sake of the gospel. This vision for missions is an important part of our ministry focus and is a wonderful opportunity for our young people to grow in the Spirit.
Christ Covenant School is a homeschool co-op that helps families educate their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It is our primary concern to disciple covenant families who have a desire to be trained in a Biblical view of Christian life and education, and to be intimately involved in their children’s education, raising up a generation of young people who know and fear the Lord and are trained to manifest Christ in every area of their lives.
