Originally from Colorado, Pastor Sean moved to Virginia in 2005 to serve at New Life in Christ Church, where he now serves as Senior Pastor. He came to faith in Jesus Christ during college through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. In that season, he discovered his life’s purpose, the source of true joy, and the pattern for real love in following Jesus.
Out of that transformation grew a passion to help others find the same—to know Jesus, become His disciples, and live with purpose, joy, and love. Whether in Fredericksburg or across the world, Sean’s prayer is to see a gospel movement flourish where Christ’s message is known and shared.
He graduated from Colorado State University (B.S. Mechanical Engineering) and New Geneva Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Westminster Theological Seminary. Before entering pastoral ministry, Sean served with Campus Crusade for Christ in overseas missions and worked several years as an engineer with a major government contractor.
Sean and his wife Julie were married in 1998 and have six children—Liam, Grace, Madeleine, Jonathan, Benjamin, and Jacob—and a growing number of grandchildren. He’s a passionate supporter of his children’s sports, enjoys strength training, international missions, reading, hiking, camping, and exploring national parks and historic sites, and remains a loyal Denver sports fan.
