Exploratory Group for PCA Church in Bowling Green

On April 7, 2025, a group of over 26 people gathered in Bowling Green, Virginia, to explore the possibility of forming a gospel-centered Christian church in the area. The meeting brought together individuals from several local churches and surrounding communities—all with a shared interest in seeing what the Lord might be doing as this region of Virginia grows and determining if a church from the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) should be established here.
We were encouraged to see such a strong turnout, especially on short notice. The gathering was filled with meaningful conversation, hospitality, and a sense of shared hope. It was clear to many of us that the Holy Spirit is stirring hearts for something new in Bowling Green.
A Few Highlights from the Meeting:
-- The meeting was well-attended and brought together a diverse group of believers from various churches.
-- We shared a meal and heard how this idea came to be.
--A general vision was presented, with a focus on starting a Reformed, Scripture-centered Exploratory Group that could—if the Lord wills—grow into a new church.
The discussion reflected a unified desire for a welcoming, gospel-rooted community that remains committed to sound doctrine, intentional outreach, and vibrant fellowship.
One of the key takeaways was the importance of clarity: not just launching something, but laying a spiritual and relational foundation rooted in God's Word and prayer. The desire is to be a people who faithfully proclaim the gospel, grow in Christ-centered maturity, minister to one another, pray for the community and the world, and reach out locally and globally with the hope of Christ.
