"Shared Suffering: Finding My Identity in Christ"

The Sermon on the Mount is like the sign that proclaims, "You Are Here": it shows where you stand in relation to the whole. But make no mistake: the "course of this world" tells you to look elsewhere; the "desires of [the] flesh" point you in another direction; and Satan asks the question, "Did God actually say"¦?" Yet by faith in the Word of God, the believer can joyfully thank God, "...to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ"¦" (1 Peter 4:13), knowing with confidence, "You are Here" for greater purpose, and the Lord is "with me" (Psalm 23:4).
